GHF 2020 Snapshot

Plenary session5 plenary sessions are held at the GHF. Each session takes place in front of all the participants. A panel of 4 internationally renowned speakers addresses an important topic of global health. Plenary sessions that address controversial or innovative ideas are one of the key moments of the conference.
Parallel session25 parallel sessions are held at the GHF. 5 sets of 5 parallel sessions allow to discuss for 90 minutes a question of global health. The animation formats vary according to the objectives of the session (presentation, round table, controversy, fishbowl ...). Two elements structure the session: active field presentations and discussion involving the audience.
Round TableA round table discusses a particular topic allowing a dozen experienced actors to share their practical experiences. These sessions, open to the public, take place on the second and third day of the GHF at 08:00 in the morning.
Lunch sessionEach day of the GHF, two sessions are organized by companies or private institutions. These sessions are organized from 12.00 to 14.00.
WorkshopAbout ten working groups discuss a specific issue in the six months preceding the GHF. The results of these working groups are presented and discussed with the public on the second day of the GHF.
Innovation areaCalled Global Health Lab, this is a dynamic and interactive space presents a hundred innovations.
Exhibition areaThis exhibition space, open to the private and public sector, offers a fantastic opportunity for networking and extending discussions beyond the conference rooms.
Video space, MOOC and Virtual realityAn interactive space presents videos, MOOCs and virtual reality tools used in global health for awareness, training or care.
PosterScientific posters present a wider range of projects and research. The posters are selected following a call for papers that will take place from April to September 2019. The posters will be presented in electronic format on site and online to increase their impact.
Poster Young researchersA Young Research Poster area presents the work done by young researchers in thesis, master or PhD courses
Networking EventOn the evening of Wednesday 25 March, events are organized by the GHF partners to facilitate the networking of the participants.
Awards (GHF Jet d'Or)Awards (GHF Jet d'Or) are presented at the closing ceremony to highlight the best research and initiatives
Opening ceremonyThe opening ceremony of the GHF brings together internationally renowned personalities in a friendly atmosphere
Closing ceremonyThe closing ceremony celebrates the key moments of the 8th edition of the GHF. GHF Gold Jet awarded at closing ceremony
SSPH+ Science Speed TalkThe Science Flash Talks organized by the "Swiss School of Public Health +" allows PhD students to present their research subject in an attractive way to the GHF audience in just 3 minutes.
